I had a dream (no kidding) that the Savage would not take throttle. Like one of those dreams that you are trying to run away from someone, but your legs will not react as they should; as if you are trying to run in water up to your waist.
Well, on my very next ride I tried to pass a slow moving car on a hill--- and the engine just took a dive! I could drive faster with 1/4 throttle than any more . The damn thing never overheated, but continued to perform like this (off & on) all day. This was my first experience with this phenomena and I am astonished to have had such a premonition in a DREAM!!!
The problem went away, after awhile, of my spraying choke cleaner through the air filter, with the engine running and the throttle worked open and shut.
This problem has reoccurred at several undesirable times.
Right now the engine is running perfect, but it seems that if I have an important date, it will come back to insult me; much like High School days, ACNE and important events. I would always get a big round pimple on the end of my nose, when I needed to look my best.
If any body out there can shed some light on this infamous carburetor virus-- PLEASE speak up!
